As ushers, we are the first point of contact for everyone who steps through the church doors. We welcome worshippers, guide them to their seats, distribute bulletins, read the Sunday announcements and help keep order during services, so that everyone feels at home.
History
Ushers have served since the church’s founding. The ministry was formally reorganised in May 1975 under Rev. Dr. Bradley D. Brown, with the first reorganised team serving on Sunday, June 1, 1975, led by Sis. Angelique A. Jones as president.
The Usher Ministry began the church’s appreciation service for the Pastorate, and in 1998, under Bro. J. Alphanso D. Perkins, honoured more than 30 former ushers for their faithful service.
