We are excited to welcome you to the Baptist Young Women’s Ministry of Effort Baptist Church! Our ministry is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth, leadership, and fellowship among young women within our congregation. Here, we foster an environment where young women can develop their faith, build strong relationships, and engage in meaningful service to God and the community.
About the Baptist Young Women’s Ministry
The BYW at Effort Baptist Church was established in 1993 under the leadership of Sis. Kormasa Reeves Taylor. Since its inception, the ministry has played a crucial role in inspiring young women to live out their faith through active participation in the mission of God. Our primary goal is to empower young women to grow in their spiritual walk and to serve as positive role models both in the church and in their daily lives.
Through Bible studies, prayer groups, mentorship, and various outreach programs, the BYW encourages young women to explore their spiritual gifts, share the Gospel, and serve the needs of those around them. We believe that every young woman has a unique purpose in God’s plan, and our ministry exists to support you as you discover and fulfill that purpose.
Activities and Programs
Spiritual Growth: We hold regular Bible study sessions, prayer meetings, and devotionals to deepen our understanding of God’s Word and strengthen our relationship with Christ.
Fellowship and Mentorship: Through group activities, retreats, and mentorship programs, we build lasting friendships and learn from one another as we grow together in faith.
Service Opportunities: We actively participate in outreach projects within the church and the broader community, providing opportunities for young women to make a meaningful impact.
Leadership Development: The BYW equips young women with the skills and confidence needed to take on leadership roles both within the church and in their personal lives.
