Although we emphasize the importance of membership within our church, we firmly assert that our ultimate security is not derived solely from organizational affiliation but rather from our profound relationship with Christ.
At Effort Baptist Church, our unwavering mission is to spread the transformative message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mission Statement
The foundation of this church is the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 3:11; Eph. 2:20), and He guides His church in all affairs through the Holy Scriptures (Psalm 119; 2 Tim. 3:15-17). Therefore the purpose of this church is to glorify God through Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit (Isa. 43:7; Eph. 1:6, 12, 14)
Baptism
Baptism is an ordinance of the Lord Jesus, obligatory upon every believer, wherein one is immersed in water in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, as a sign of one’s fellowship with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, of remission of sins, and of giving one up to God, to live and walk in newness of life. It is prerequisite to church membership and to participation in the Lord’s Supper (Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38; Rom. 6:3-5; 1 Cor. 12:13).
Vision Statement
The priorities of ministry of this church flow from the vision of God's glory revealed in Jesus Christ. We exist to savor this vision in worship (John 4:23), strengthen the vision in nurture (1 Cor. 14:26; 2 Peter 3:18), and spread the vision in evangelism, missions, and loving deeds (Matt. 5:16; 28:18-20; 1 Pet. 2:9; 3:15).

Affiliation
The Effort Baptist Church recognizes and sustains the obligations of mutual counsel and cooperation that are common among Baptist churches. This church will cooperate with and support the Liberia Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention, incorporated.
Governance
The governance of this church is vested in the body of believers who are members. All internal groups created and empowered by the church shall report to and be accountable only to the church, unless otherwise specified by the Constitution of the Church. This church is subject to the control of no other ecclesiastical body.
Effort Baptist Church Reunion
The Effort Reunion is a grouping comprising all members of Effort Baptist Church who now live in the Diaspora, mainly in the United States of America.
Membership
While we emphasize membership in the church, we do not place our security in membership of the organization. We believe our security is in relationship with Christ.
